NEPSE Loses Double Digits to Close at 1,922.16; Only Two Sectors Close Green Led by "Life Insurance"

The NEPSE index closed at 1,922.16 today after gaining 16.14 points from last trading day's closing. This is a gain of 0.83%. The index had gained 7.32 points yesterday.

The index opened at 1,939.5 and made intraday high at 1,940.61. It made intraday low at 1,918.84 and ultimately closed at 1,922.16.

220 scrips traded hands via 18,140 transactions. A total of 2,767,539 shares exchanged hands amounting to only Rs. 89.89 Crores in the turnover amount. This is lower than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 1.467 Arba.

Everest Bank Limited (EBL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 4.03 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 532 per share. The shares of Garima Bikas Bank Limited Promoter Share (GBBLPO) traded the most.

Unilever Nepal Limited (UNL) gained the highest 6.56% for the day.

On the other side of things, Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (WNLB) lost 4.94% today.

Only two sector indices closed green, "HydroPower" lost the highest 1.37% while "Life Insurance" gained the highest 0.02%.
