NEPSE Loses Double Digits on the First Day To Close at 2,065.78; Intraday Turnover Limited to Rs. 1.273 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 2,065.78 today after losing 12.92 points from last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 0.62%. The index had lost 33.76 points last Friday. Altogether this is the 7th consecutive loss of the index. 

The index opened at 2,079.60 points and made intraday high at 2,093.95. It then made intraday low at 2,054.13 and closed at 2,065.78.

228 scrips traded hands via 25,908 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 4,409,691 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.273 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 1.307 Arba.

Asian Life Insurance Co. Limited (ALICL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 8.24 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 539. The shares of NABIL BALANCED FUND-2 (NBF2) traded the most.

Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ULBSL) gained highest 10% and hit the positive circuit for the day.

On the other side of things, Himalayan Bank Limited (HBL) lost the highest 9.99% today.

Six of thirteen sector indices closed green, "Microfinance" gained the highest 0.53 % while "Life Insurance" lost the highest 2.01%.
