NEPSE Loses 34.79 Points and Closes at 2,385.01, Only One Sector Index Closes Green

The NEPSE index closed at 2,385.01 today after losing 34.79 points from last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 1.44%. The index had lost 44.56 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,424.71 today and made the intraday high at 2,428.57. While it went as low as 2,379.57, it ultimately closed at 2,385.01.

237 scrips traded hands via 31,576 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 3,783,024 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.524 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 2.26 Arba.

Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 5.75 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 3,507 per share. The shares of Nepal Infrastructure Bank Limited (NIFRA) traded the most.

NESDO Sambridha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NESDO) gained 10% and hit the positive circuit breaker for the day.

On the other side of things, Emerging Nepal Limited (ENL) lost the highest 6.59% today.

Only the "Hotels And Tourism Index" gained a minimal 0.1%. Among all other sector indices that closed red, the "Others Index" lost the highest 2.56%.
