NEPSE Loses 2.07% On First Day of the Week, Intraday Turnover Declines to Rs. 1.423 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 2,307.44 today after losing 48.73 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 2.07%. The index had lost 20 points last Thursday.

The index opened at 2,358.24 today and made the intraday high at 2,359.27. It then made the intraday low at 2,303.70 and closed at 2,307.44.

228 scrips traded hands via 31,404 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 3,978,079 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.423 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 1.496 Arba.

Arun Valley Hydropower Development Co. Ltd. (AHPC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 4.73 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 395.70 per share. Sunrise First Mutual Fund (SFMF) traded the most.

Jalpa Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (JALPA) gained 9.99% and technically hit the positive circuit breaker for the day.

On the other side of things, Nepal Finance Ltd. (NFS) lost the highest 10% today.

All sector indices close red. "Finance" lost the highest 4.24 % while "Mutual Fund" lost the least 0.63%.
