NEPSE loses 16.53 points to close at 1408.79; All Sectors Close in Red except Trading; Total Turnover 1.04 Arba

The stock market showed closed in red today, closing at 1,408.79, 16.53 points (1.16%) down from yesterday's close.

A total of 3,344,111 shares were traded amounting to Rs. 1,048,911,791 in turnover amount. 191 scrips were traded via 21,367 transactions.

Overall 24.46 points volatility was witnessed today, wherein the highest point was 1431.89 and the lowest was 1407.43. The market-open itself was the intraday high today.

Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 7.33 crores, while Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) had the second-highest turnover of Rs. 7.05 crores. As a matter of fact, Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited also had the most shares traded for today.

Float is down by 1.26 points and is currently at 98.72. On the other hand, the Sensitive Index is currently at 293.84 after losing 3.45 points from the previous close.

Dibyashwari Hydropower Company Limited (DHPL), Sadhana Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SDLBSL), and Joshi Hydropower Development Company Limited (JOSHI) hit a 10% positive circuit today.

On the other side, Nepal Finance Limited (NFS) lost the most 5.68% while closing at Rs. 166 per unit.

Only Trading gained a minimal 0.06% today while all others ended red. Banking lost the most 1.34%.

Over the past few trading days, it seems as though the market has become indecisive.
