On the last trading day of the week, Nepal stock market closed with slight gain today. The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) went up by 4.96 points (0.33%) to close at 1486.04 points. With this, the market has closed positively on all days by gaining 128.7 points overall this week.

NEPSE Index opened at 1481.10 points today and was seen fluctuating throughout the day. While active involvement of buyers was seen until yesterday, the share market witnessed equal pressure from both buyers and sellers today. Investors have attributed this to increase in sellers seeking to book short-term profits from their purchases made few days ago.

284,386 unit shares of National Hydropower Company Limited (NHPC), 117,793 unit shares of Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank Limited (NCCB) were traded the most today. 9 companies hit positive circuit break today.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 1 arba, where more than 20.65 lakh units shares were traded through 8,426 transactions.
Sensitive index and float index went up by 1.04 and 0.59 points respectively.
Except Hotels and Others sectors, all sectors at NEPSE landed in green. Hydropower sector rose the most by 46.01 points, mostly influenced by the news of upcoming SGM of Api Power Company Limited (API).
