Nepse Index tumbles by 13.34 points with minimal turnover of Rs 45.52

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has declined by 13.34 points or 0.90% today to close at 1,475.72 points.
Today, NEPSE Index opened at 1,489.04 points and the local bourse was increased slightly for the first 30 minutes, after which it started going downhill.
The total turnover of the day stood at just Rs 45.52, where more than 11.55 lakh units shares were traded through 5,118 transactions.
Everest Bank Limited (EBL) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 7.66 crore) while Soaltee Hotel Limited (SHL) was traded the most (72,575 units) today.
The best performer for the day was Green Development Bank Limited (GRDBL) whereas Nepal Hydro Developer Limited (NHDL) was among the biggest loser today.
Sensitive index that measures the index of group ‘A’ companies, lost 2.52% while float index which is publicly traded shares only, also declined by 0.99 points on the week’s first trading day.
Except Manufacturing & Production, the indices of eight trading group landed in red at the end of the day with Insurance sector losing the most followed by Hotels sector.
