Nepse Index slides by meager 2.78 points; Minimal turnover of Rs 62.71 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has declined by 2.78 points or 0.17% to close at 1611.27 points.
Today, the stock index opened at 1614.17 points today and the local bourse was seen fluctuating throughout the day.The total turnover amount came down to Rs 62.71 crore in which more than 17.54 lakh units shares were traded through 9,469 transactions.
Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) was the top stocks by turnover (Rs 5.49 crore) while Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme-1 (SIGS1) among the most traded shares (2.76 lakhs unit) today.
The top gainer for today’s trading day was United Finance Limited (UFL) with 5.77 percent change. On the other hand, the top loser for the day was Chhayandi Hydropower Limited (CHL) with 6.5 percent change.
Expect Insurance and Others sub-indices, all other sub-indices landed on the red. Hotels sub-indices witnessed the biggest drop of 30.38 points.
Sensitive and float index slightly went down by 0.48 and 0.22 points respectively.
