Nepse Index slides by 4.24 points with minimal turnover above Rs 46.93 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has decreased by 4.24 points or 0.27% to close at 1543.70 points today.
Today, NEPSE Index opened at 1547.91 points and the local bourse was seen in upward trend in the first trading day afterward the index was seen fluctuating. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 46.93 crore where more than 10.35 lakh units shares were traded through 6,325 transactions.
Everest Bank Limited (EBL) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 2.77 crore) while Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) was traded the most (42720 units) today.
The best performer of the day was Bishal Bazar Company Limited (BBC) hitting 10% positive circuit break while Barun Hydropower Company Limited (BARUN) was the biggest loser today.
Sensitive and float index slightly went down by 0.74 points and 0.24 points respectively.
Except Trading, Hydropower and Manufacturing & Production, All sectors at NEPSE landed in red. Sub-indices of Hotels declined the most by 20.05 points.
