Nepse Index slides by 3.51 points with turnover of Rs 44.83 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has decreased by 3.51 points or 0.23% to close at 1536.72 points today.
NEPSE Index opened 1540.07 points and the local bourse was seen in upward trend till the second trading hour of the day afterward was seen in downward trend. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 44.83 crore in which more than 14.94 lakh units shares were traded 4,166 transactions.
Jyoti Bikas Bank Promoter Shares (JBBLPO) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 2.48 crore) while was traded the most (2.07 lakh units) today.
The best performer for the day was Multipurpose Finance Company Limited (MPFL) hitting 10% positive circuit break whereas Civil Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (CLBSL) was the biggest loser today.
Sensitive and float index declined by 0.76 and 0.2 points respectively.
Except Hydropower sub-groups, all the sub-groups landed in red zone today. Insurance sub-group plunges by of 31.78 points .
