Nepse Index slides by 3.25 points with turnover above Rs 96.86 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has decreased by 3.25 points or 0.20% to close at 1643.28 points today.
Nepse Index opened at 1646.54 points and the local bourse was seen in downward trend in the first trading hour of the day after that the index slowly went up to 1649.58 points till the second trading hour then was seen fluctuating.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 96.86 crore in which more than 17.71 lakh units shares were traded 8,280 transactions.
Prabhu Insurance Company Limited (PRIN) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 8.96 crore) while Laxmi Value Fund-1 (LVF1) was at the top in terms of number of shares traded (2.09 lakh units).
The best performer for the day were National Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NMFBS), Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL), Kuber Merchant Finance Limited (KMBSL) and Taragaon Regency Hotel (TRH) hitting 10% positive circuit break Prime Life Insurance Limited (PLIC) was the biggest loser today.
Sensitive and float index declined by 0.87 and 0.23 points respectively.
Except Hotels, Development Banks and Manufacturing & Production sub-groups, all the sub-groups landed in red zone today. Insurance sub-group witnessed the biggest drop of 81.88 points while Hotels sub-group rises by 47.61 points.
