Nepse Index slides by 0.66 points with turnover of Rs 46.99 crore; NTC among most traded shares

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has decreased by 0.66 points or 0.04% to close at 1567.64 points today.
NEPSE Index opened 1568.27 points and the local bourse was seen fluctuating throughout the day. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 46.99 crore in which more than 14.33 lakh units shares were traded 4,135 transactions.
Nepal Telecom Limited (NTC) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 9.03 crore) and most traded the (105,538 units) shares today as well.
The best performer for the day was Multipurpose Finance Company Limited (MPFL) hitting 10% positive circuit break whereas Chimmek Laghubitta Bikas Bank Limited (CBBL) was the biggest loser today.
Sensitive and float index declined by 0.33 and 0.57 points respectively.
Except Insurance, Others and Manufacturing & Production sub-groups, all the sub-groups landed in red zone today. Others sub-group witnessed the growth of 41.93 points while Hydropower sub-group plunges by 19.3 points.
