NEPSE index sees surprising growth today; Index climbed by 35.98 points closing at 1,336.39; Find out the top gainer

The market today went up by a whooping 35.98 points or 2.77% contrary to past few days. However, the turnover was not that attractive amounting to only 47.4 crore. A total of 13.5 lakh unit shares were traded through 5,011 transactions throughout the day.

The market today had opened at 1,300.41 points today and started going down like past few days. However after the news regarding agreement between the ruling party and Madhesi forum for amendment on constitution, the market took a different direction and started climbing upwards. This news has definitely created positive vibes among the investors.

Citizens Bank International Limited Promoter Share (CZBILP) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than 5.06 crore worth shares were traded. Similarly, CZBILP also stood at top in case of number of shares traded as 3.37 lakh unit shares were exchanged.

Likewise, Shikhar Insurance (SICL) was the top gainer of the day as it gained 9.65% on its price and closed at Rs. 1,071. Similarly, Mega Bank Limited (MEGA) was the top loser of the day losing 9.94% on its price closing at Rs. 281. The trading of MEGA had begun from today after being frozen for 491 days at Rs 312.

The table for sub-indices is totally painted in green today, with all the sector going upwards. Insurance sector gained the most climbing by 272.44 points. Similalrly, Hotels sector also experience phenomenal growth going up by 101.11 points. The trading sector gained the least climbing by 2.53 points only.
