Nepse Index rises by meager 4.47 points with turnover above Rs 1.01 arba; National Hydropower among top traded shares

On the first trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) went up by 4.47 points or 0.27% to settle at 1665.05 points.
Today Nepse Index opened at 1660.57 points and the local bourse went up to 1669.92 points in the first trading hour of the day, after that, it was seen in downward trend. The total turnover of the day stood above 1.01 arba in which more than 33.18 lakh units shares were traded 10,447 transactions.
National Hydropower Company Limited (NHPC) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 8.41 crore) and also among the most traded shares.
The best performer of the day were Lalitpur Finance Limited (LFC) and World Merchant Banking and Finance Limited (WMBF) hitting 10% positive circuit break while General Finance Limited (GFL) and Gandaki Bikas Bank Limited (GDBL) was the biggest loser today.
Sensitive and float index slightly went up by 0.89 points and 0.32 points respectively.
Except Banking, Manufacturing & Production and others, all sectors at Nepse landed in red. Sub-indices of insurance decline the most by 50.27 points.
