Nepse Index rises by 9.41 points with turnover above Rs 1.04 arba; Hotels sub-group surges by 161.28 points

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has increased by 9.41 points or 0.57% to close at 1652.69 points today.
NEPSE Index opened 1643.32 points and the local bourse was seen in upward trend. The total turnover of the day stood above 1.04 arba in which more than 16.48 lakh units shares were traded 9,085 transactions.
Sanim Bank Limited (SANIMA) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 4.51 crore) while Taragaon Regency Hotel (TRH) was at the top in terms of number of shares traded (1.09 lakh units).
The best performer for the day were National Microfinance Bittiya SansthaLimited (NMFBS), Taragaon Regency Hotel (TRH), Himalayan Distillary Limited (HDL), Shree Investment Finance Company Limited(SIFC) and Oriental Hotel Limited (OHL) hitting 10% positive circuit break whereas Kabeli Bikas Bank Limited (KEBL) was the biggest loser today.
Sensitive and float index went up by 1.5 and 0.65 points respectively.
Except Insurance sub-groups, all the sub-groups landed in green zone today. Hotels sub-group witnessed the growth of 161.28 points (6.82%).
