Nepse Index rises by 7.77 points on last trading day before election; Turnover above Rs 91.79 crore

On the last trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has risen by 7.77 points or 0.47% to close at 1658.58 points today.
Nepse Index opened at 1650.87 points today and the local bourse went up to 1658.44 points, afterward it was seen in sideways movement.
496,959 units shares of World Merchant Banking and Finance Limited Promoter shares (WMBFPO) and 141,662 unit shares of Sunrise Bank Limited (SRBL) were traded the most today.
Hydropower Companies dominated the top gainers list today. Dibyashwori Hydropower Company Limited (DHPL) and Ridi Hydropower Company Limited (RHPC) hit positive circuit today.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 91.79 crore where more than 20.60 lakh units shares were traded through 7,214 transactions.
Sensitive and float index slightly increased by 1.25 points and 0.47 points respectively.
All the sub-indices landed in green zone today. Insurance sub-group witnessed the highest growth of 45.46 points followed by Hydropower group which increased by 19.2 points.
