Nepse Index rises by 7.11 points to settle at 1636.19 level; Turnover above Rs 94.85 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has increased by 7.11 points or 0.44% to close at 1636.19 points today. NEPSE Index opened 1629.19 points and the local bourse increased to 1645.34 in the first trading hour after that it was seen fluctuating. The total turnover of the day stood above 94.85 crore in which more than 13.71 lakh units shares were traded 7,406 transactions. Rastriya Beema Company Limited Promoter Shares (RBCLPO) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 10.29 crore) while National Hydropower company Limited (NHPC) was at the top in terms of number of shares traded (2.04 lakh units). The best performer for the day were Himalayan Distillary Limited (HDL), Rastriya Beema Company Limited (RBCL), RBCL Promoter Shares (RBCLPO), Ngadi Power Group Limited (NGPL) and Lumbini Bikas Bank Limited (LBBL) hitting 10% positive circuit break whereas Synergy Power development Limited (SPDL) was the biggest loser today. Sensitive and float index went up by 0.17 and 0.3 points respectively. Except Banking and Others sub-groups, all the sub-groups landed in green zone today. Insurance sub-group witnessed the growth of 157.32 points.
