Nepse Index rises by 5.97 points with turnover above Rs 52.48 crore; Hotels & Insurance surges by double digit

On the last trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) went up by 5.97 points or 0.45% to close at 1347.53 points today.
Nepse Index opened at 1341.56 points and went up to 1353.31 points during the end of second trading hour of the day and after that it was seen in downward trend.
223,287 units shares of Global IME Bank Limited (GBIME) and 138,669 units shares of Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank Limited (NCCB) were traded the most today.
RSDC Laghubitta Bikas Bank Limited (RSDC) and Naya Nepal Laghubitta Bikas Bank Limited (NNLB) hit positive circuit break today.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 52.48 crore where more than 10.45 lakh units shares were traded through 3,848 transactions. Manual Turnover of Rs 1.23 lakh was seen today.
Sensitive index and float index increased by 1.38 and 0.56 points respectively.
Except Manufacturing & Production and others sub-index, all the sub-indices landed in green zone today. Insurance sub-group witnessed the gain of 59.25 points followed by Hotels which rises by 24.86 points.
