Nepse Index rises by 2.55 points with turnover of Rs 64.02 crore; 4 companies hit positive circuit break

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has increased by 2.55 points or 0.16% to close at 1,587.56 points today.
NEPSE Index opened at 1,585.01 points and the local bourse was seen in a relatively stable condition throughout the day. The total turnover of the day stood around only Rs 64.02 crore in which more than 19.14 lakh units shares were traded 5,448 transactions. Rs 35.97 lakh worth shares were manually traded today.
Soaltee Hotel Limited (SHL) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 7.63 crore) while NMB Sambriddhi Fund 1 (NMBSF1) was at the top in terms of number of shares traded (381,890 units).
The best performers for the day were Forward Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (FOWAD), Arun Finnce Limited (ARUN), Karnali Bikas Bank Limited (KRBL) and Kuber Merchant & Finance Limited (KMBSL) whereas Synergy Finance Limited (SUFL) and Citizen Investment trust Limited (CIT) were the biggest losers today.
Sensitive and float index went up by 0.39 and 0.17 points respectively.
Except Banking, Development Banks and Insurance sub-groups, all the sub-groups landed in red zone today. Insurance sub-group witnessed the rise of 27.71 points.
