NEPSE Index Records Three Consecutive Days of Decline; Intraday Turnover Stood at Rs 4.31 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a slight decline of 0.74%, or 15.37 points, settling at 2,048.57 points at the close of trading today, following a modest loss of 3.34 points in the previous session.

Opening at 2,065.52, the trading day witnessed fluctuations as the index reached an intraday high of 2,074.97 before dipping to an intraday low of 2,045.11.

With a bustling trading environment, 315 different stocks were exchanged in 52,317 transactions. The total volume of shares traded stood at 18,552,705, reflecting a total turnover of Rs. 4.31 Arba. The market capitalization closed at Rs. 32.48 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.99 Kharba.

 

MachhaPuchhre Bank Limited Promotor Share (MBLPO) emerged as the highlight of the day with a substantial turnover of Rs. 1.21 Arba, closing at a market price of Rs. 131.

 

Similarly, Two companies hit the positive circuit today.

 

Conversely, Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited (BNHC) faced the steepest decline, losing 10% to close at Rs. 544.50.

 

In terms of sector, Only one Sector Index concluded in positive territory, with the "Trading Index" leading with a gain of 0.65%. However, the "Microfinance Index" witnessed a decline of 1.32%.
