NEPSE Index reaches 28 month high after gaining 43.02 points today; eleven companies hit the positive circuit

The market today gained double digit points to close at 28 month high. NEPSE Index posted gain of 2.86% or 43.02 points, closing at a high of 1545.19 points today. The turnover amount stood at Rs.2.99 Arba achieved through trade of 7,059,712 units of shares traded through 26,536 transactions trading scrips of 180 listed companies in the process.

Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) posted the highest turnover of Rs.16.33 Core with LTP at Rs.1837 per share, followed by Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) and Shikhar Insurance Limited (SICL) with turnover above Rs.10 Crore. National Hydropower Company Limited (NHPC) stood ahead in terms of volume with trade of 264,241 units of shares. The LTP of the stock stood at Rs.67 per share.

Eleven companies hit the positive circuit today as Gurans Life Insurance (GLICL), HDL and Swadeshi Laghubitta (SDESI) gained the most at 10% each. Dibyashwari Hydropower Limited (DHL) was today’s top loser after losing 3.63% or 2 points to close at Rs.53 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 8.57 points and closed at 326.56 points while Float Index gained 2.57 points and closed at 109.29 points.

All sub-indices closed in the green zone after gaining points today. Life Insurance, Others and trading were the top gainers.
