Nepse Index gains 9.17 points before shutting down for Tihar Festival; Turnover above Rs 43.25 crore

The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index has closed at 1568.35, a rise of 9.17 points (0.59%) before closing down for Tihar Festival.
Nepse Index opened at 1559.23 points today and the local bourse was seen in downward trend till the seond trading hour of the day , afterward it was seen upward trend.
The total turnover of the day stood at 43.25 crores in which more than 11.11 lakh units shares were traded with 3,331 transactions.
Nepal Life Insurance Company Promoter Shares (NLICLP) was the top stocks by turnover (Rs 4.40 crore) while Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Promoter Shares (MLBLP) consequently among the most traded shares (65,000 unit) today.
The top gainer for today’s trading day was Ngadi Power Company Limited (NGPL). On the other hand, the top loser for the day was Best Finance Company Limited (BFC).
All other sub-indices landed on the green zone today. Insurance sub-group witnessed the highest growth of 97.48 points.
Sensitive and float index slightly went up by 1.76 and 0.65 points respectively.
