NEPSE Index Gains 29 Points Post Monetary Policy; NICA Emerges as Top Gainer and Turnover

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a gain today, gaining 29.00 points (1.06%) to settle at 2,760.80. This follows a 22.04-point gain in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2,767.53, touching an intraday high of 2,798.75, while the lowest point was 2,757.89. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 11.41 Arba, with 32,592,030 shares traded across 311 companies through 105,415 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 46.0 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.7 Kharba.

NIC Asia Bank Ltd. (NICA) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 37.1 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 405.40.

NIC Asia Bank Ltd. (NICA) led the gainers' list with a 9.99% gain each.

Meanwhile, Himalayan Hydropower Limited (HHL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 9.93%.

Among sectors, the Microfinance Index sector registered the highest gain, gaining 3.50%, while the HydroPower Index saw the highest loss at 0.83%.
