Nepse Index dwindles by 19.84 points to close at 1650; Turnover at 40-days low of Rs 78.56 crore

On the first trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) dropped by 19.84 points or 1.19% to close at 1650.78 points.
Nepse Index opened at 1,670.57 points today and the local bourse was seen in downward trend afterward.
78,099 units shares of NIBL Samriddhi Fund-1 (NIBSF1) and 59,173 units shares of Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank Limited (NCCB) were traded the most today.
Naya Nepal Laghubitta Bikas Bank Limited (NNLB) and Progressive Finance Limited (PROFL) hit positive circuit today.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 78.56 crore where more than 72.04 lakh units shares were traded through 6,793 transactions. This is the lowest turnover of the last 40 days. On March 19, 2017, the total turnover stood at Rs 68.77 crore.
Sensitive index and float index went down by 4.43 points and 1.49 points respectively.
Except Manufacturing & Production and others, all the sub-indices landed in red zone today. Insurance and Banking sub-index dropped by 167.92 and 53.58 points respectively.
