Nepse Index down by 1.52 points to settle at 1635.75 level; Turnover above Rs 96.07 crore

Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) Index has lost 1.52 points today (0.09%) to close trading at 1635.75 points.
The stock index opened at 1637.17 points today and the local bourse was seen fluctuating throughout the day. Over 17.75 lakh units shares were traded today from 8,727 different transactions. The total turnover of the day was Rs 96.07 crore.
Nepal Life Insurance Company limited (NLIC) topped the list of companies today in terms of turnover of Rs 6.14crore and while Laxmi Mutual Fund-1 (LVF1) remained at the top in terms of number of shares traded i.e 2.08 lakh units.
The best performers for the day were Hamro Bikas Bank Limited (HAMRO) and whereas, Synergy power Developpment Limited (SPDL) was the biggest loser today.
Sensitive and float index slightly decreased by 0.2 points and 0.23 points respectively.
Banking, Development Banks Hotels and Hydropower sub-groups landed in red zone whereas Finance, Insurance, Manufacturing & Productions and Others sub-group landed in green zone today. Hotels sub-group witnessed the biggest drop of 16.44 points whereas Insurance group rises by 77.4 points.
