Nepse Index dips by 3.70 points on last trading day; Turnover above Rs 45.09 crore

On the last trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has decreased by 3.70 points or 0.24% to close at 1522.81 points today.
NEPSE Index opened 1526.52 points and the local bourse was seen fluctuating throughout the day. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 45.09 crore in which more than 11.05 lakh units shares were traded 5,634 transactions.
Nepal Investment Bank Limited Promoter Shares (NIBPO) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 3.65 crore) while Shangri-La Development Bank Limited Promoter Shares (SADBLP) was traded the most (108,305units) today.
The best performer for the day was Bhargav Bikas Bank Limited (BHBL) whereas Multipurpose Finance Company Limited (MPFL) was the biggest loser today.
Sensitive and float index declined by 0.89 and 0..29 points respectively.
Except Trading, Hydropower, Finance and Insurance sub-groups, all other sub-groups landed in red zone today. Hydropower sub-group witnessed the growth of 14.01 points while Microfinance sub-group plunges by 14.26 points.
