Nepse Index dips by 3.19 points with turnover above Rs 41.81 crore

The benchmark capital market index, Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), has declined by 3.19 points or 0.21% to close at 1533.53 points.
Today, NEPSE Index opened at 1536.71 points and the local bourse was seen fluctuating throughout the day. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 41.81 crore where more than 12.48 lakh units shares were traded through 3,790 transactions.
Rastriya Beema Company Promoter Shares (RBCLPO) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 2.34 crore) while Gurkhas Finance Promoter Shares (GUFLPO) was traded the most (2.46 lakh units) today.
Sensitive and float index slightly went down by 1.09 points and 0.39 points respectively.
Except others, the indices of eight trading group landed in red at the end of the day with Insurance sector losing the most followed by Development Banks and Finance sector.
Multipurpose Finance Company Limited (MPFL) was the top gainer followed by Gurkhas Finance Limited (GUFL)) while Kisan Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (KMFL) was among the top loser followed by Gurans Life Insurance Company Limited (GLICL).
Out of 9 trading groups, 4 saw their indices turning green with others sector posting the highest gain of 5.78%. Trading sector remains unchanged.
