Nepse Index dips by 3.04 points with turnover above Rs 49.11 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has decreased by 3.04 points or 0.20% to close at 1493.42 points today.
NEPSE Index opened 1496.31 points and the local bourse was seen in upward trend in the second trading hour of the day after that selling pressure drags market downward. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 49.11 crore in which more than lakh 11.57 units shares were traded through 5,909 transactions.
Citizen Investment Trust Limited (CIT) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 3.25 crore) while Civil Bank Limited (CBL) was traded the most (82,661 units) today.
The best performer for the day was Mahuli Samudayic Laghubitta Bikas Bank Limited (MSLB) whereas Civil Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (CLBSL) was the biggest loser today.
Sensitive and float index has slightly declined by 0.47 and 0.24 points respectively.
Among 10 sub-indices, Banking, Trading, Development Banks, Microfinance and Insurance sub-groups, all the sub-groups landed in red zone while Hotels, Hydropower , Finance, Manufacturing & Productions and Others sub- groups ended in green today.
