Nepse index declines by 4.45 points; Insurance sector again plunged by 91.06 points

On the last trading day of the week, the benchmark index of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) came down by 4.45 points or 0.38 percent to close at a level of 1168.71.

Opening at the 1173.17 level this afternoon, the local bourse went down to 1166.04 level during the last trading hour.  

Sensitive index and the float index came has came down by 0.58 points and 0.32 points respectively.

The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 47.14 crore where more than11 lakh unit shares were traded through 2,300 transactions.
 
Banking, Hotels, Hydropower, Insurance, Manufacturing and production sector landed in red, whereas, Development Banks, Finance and others landed in green. Insurance sector and Hotel plunged by 91.06 points and 29.66 points respectively.


MDLPO, YETIPO, SEOS, NIBPO, GBIMEP, PCBL, GBIME, KADBL, JBNL and PRVU were among the top traded shares.

LFLC, KADBL, SFL, KNBL, ICFC, ARUN, KCDBL, MDB, HBL and SBBLJ were among the top gainers of the day.

APEX, HDL, SETI, GLICL, LFC, SINDU, SICL, ILFC, INDBL and ILCN were the top losers of the day.
