NEPSE Index Closes With a Loss of 18.44 points ; SHIVM Leads Turnover While Overall Volume Stood at 26.75 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today,losing 18.44 points (0.61%) to settle at 2,964.20. This follows a 3.76 -point gain in the previous session.
The benchmark index opened at 2984.92, touching an intraday high of 3,013.17, while the lowest point was 2,958.34. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 26.57 Arba, with 58,653,762 shares traded across 323 companies through 203,658 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 49.46 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 16.83 Kharba.
SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 1.02 Arba. The stock closed at Rs. 667.00.
Samata Gharelu Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMATA) and Trade Tower Limited (TTL) led the gainer's list with a 10.00% gain each.
Meanwhile, Narayani Development Bank Limited (NABBC) recorded the steepest drop, falling 6.34%.
Among sectors, the Trading Index registered the highest gain, gaining 1.44%, while the Finance Index saw the highest loss at 1.99%.
