Nepse Index closes positively with gain of 3.62 points; Turnover slides to Rs 46.75 crore only

The benchmark capital market index, Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE), has closed positively by 3.62 points or 0.23% to close at 1554.69 points today. However, the turnover has been limited to only Rs 46.75 crore.
Nepse Index opened at 1551.07 points today and the local bourse was seen fluctuating throughout the day.
The total turnover of the day was limited to around Rs. 46.75 crore only today, in which 8.93 lakh unit shares were traded through 4,789 transactions.
53,250 units shares of Shree Ram Sugar Mills (SRS) and 50,000 unit shares of NIBL Samriddhi Fund 1 (NIBSF1) were traded the most today. Everest Bank Limited (EBL) had the highest turnover of over Rs 4.10 crore, followed by Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited (SCB) with Rs. 2.18 crore.
The best performer for the day was Forward Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (FOWAD), whereas, Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) was the biggest loser today.
Sensitive and float index went up by 0.68 and 0.15 points respectively.
Manufacturing & Production, Others, Finance and Hydropower groups landed in red zone whereas Insurance, Bankling, development bank and Hotels groups landed in green.
