Nepse Index closes positively with gain of 10.11 points; Improvement in turnover above Rs 78.66 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) went up by 10.11 points or 0.63% to close at 1626.51 points. Today, NEPSE Index opened at 1616.30 points and the local bourse went down to 1611.72 points, after that it was seen in upward trend. index 62,220.units shares of Siddhartha Bank Limited (SBL) and 60,115 units shares of  Synergy Power Development Limited (SPDL) were traded the most today. Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) hit positive circuit break today whereas Synergy Power Company Limited (SPDL) loses the most. Mero Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MERO) and Standard Chartered Bank Limited (SCB) had the highest turnover of Rs 6.70 crore and Rs 5.91 crore respectively today. The number of transactions of MERO and SCB reached 1216 and 742. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 78.66crore where more than 10.17 lakh units shares were traded through 7,975 transactions. Sensitive and float index went up by 2.23 and 0.81 points respectively. All sectors at NEPSE landed in green zone today. Sub-indices of Manufacturing & Production and Insurance sector surged the most by 55.01 points and 20.92 points respectively. sector losers traded tran turn gainers
