Nepse Index closes positively on week’s last trading day; Turnover decline to 74.68 crore

On the last trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has increased by 1.55 points or 0.10% to close at 1.537.67 points today.
The market opened at 1,536.12 points today and the local bourse was seen in upward trend for first trading hours after that it was seen declining till second trading hour of the day. However, at the end of the day it eventually gaining 1.55 points.
The total turnover of the day stood at Rs 74.68 crore in which more than 13.52 lakh units shares were traded with 6,933 transactions.
United Insurance Company Nepal Limited (UIC) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 4.55 crore) while Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) was traded the most (81,694 units) today.
The best performer for the day was United Insurance Company (Nepal) Limited (UIC) with a positive circuit of almost 10% whereas Janaki Finance Limited (JFL) was the biggest loser today.
Sensitive and float index went up by 0.23 points and 0.12 points respectively.
Except Manufacturing &Production, Development Bank and Finance sector, all the other six trading groups landed in green at the end of the day. The sub-indices of Insurance sector increased the most i.e. 20.37 points followed by Hotels sector i.e. 25.8 points.
