Nepse Index closes positively on week’s last trading day; closes at 1391.03 points

On the last trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has increased by 9.01 points or 0.0.65% to close at 1391.03 points today.
The market opened at 1382.02 points today and the local bourse was seen turbulent until it reached 1378.62 points after which it started rising. However, at the end of the day it eventually ended up gaining 9.01 points.
The total turnover of the day stood at Rs 26.85 crore in which more than 6.86 lakh units shares were traded with 3,394 transactions.
Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 2.41 crore) as well as shares traded (69,639 units) today.
The best performer for the day was Suryodaya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SLBS) gaining 9.96% whereas RSDC Laghubitta BIttiya Sanstha Limited (RSDC) was the biggest loser today losing 9.98%.
Sensitive and float index went up by 2.04 points and 0.63 points respectively.
Except Trading and Finance sector, all the other eight trading groups landed in green at the end of the day. The sub-indices of Insurance sector increased the most i.e. 72.94 points followed by Hydropower sector i.e. 17.01 points.
