The NEPSE index closed at 2,111.99 today after gaining 23.83 points from yesterday's closing. This is a gain of 1.14%. The index had lost 44.80 points yesterday.
The index opened at 2,089.01 points and went intraday low at 2,065.96. The index went intraday high at 2,112.11 and ultimately closed at 2,111.99.
227 scrips traded hands via 50,297 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 7,508,188 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 3.161 Arba in the turnover amount. This is a lower than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 3.704 Arba.
SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) had the highest turnover of Rs. 17.94 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 816 per share. The shares of Universal Power Company Ltd. (UPCL) traded the most.
Three scrips gained all they could for the day and hit the positive circuit.
On the other side of things, Kumari Dhanabriddhi Yojana (KDBY) lost all 10% today.
Only one sector closed red, "Finance" gained the highest 4.13% while "Trading" lost 0.58%.
