NEPSE in green on last trading day of week; closes at 939.53

The benchmark index of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has managed to land in green on the last trading day of this week surging 2.05 points or 0.22 percent to close at 939.53 level.

NEPSE opened at 937.67 this afternoon and remained almost stationary with meager ups and downs throughout the day.

Similarly NEPSE Sensitive and Float has moved up by 0.5 point and 0.12 point respectively.

The total turnover has moved up by almost Rs 17 million than yesterday’s total of Rs 232.21 million.

Altogether 590,384 unit shares of 144 scrips were traded today through 2,346 transactions worth Rs 249.2 million.

Among the sub-indices, Hotels, HydroPower and Insurance landed in red today decreasing 23.72 points, 6.87 points and 15.33 points respectively.

Banking and Development Banks increased by 0.76 point and 8.05 points respectively. Finance, Manufacturing and Others managed to gain 8.23 points, 16.3 points and 5.87 points respectively.

Market will remain closed tomorrow on the occasion of Maghe Sankranti celebration in the country.
