NEPSE goes further down; loses 3.28 points closing at 1,192.96 points

NEPSE index has declined by 3.28 points or 0.27% today. The market had opened at 1,194.93, and kept fluctuating throughout the day, ultimately closing in red zone. Total turnover worth Rs 20.5 crore was witnessed during the trading hours as more than 2.7 lakh unit shares were traded in the whole day. 3,751 transactions were made for the transaction of the scrips.
Standard Chartered Bank Limited (SCB) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than 1.23 crore worth shares were traded. Similarly, Mission Development Bank Ltd. Promoter Share (MIDBLP) was the top in case of number of shares traded as 29.2 thousand unit shares were exchanged.
Likewise, the top gainer for the day is Swadeshi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd (SDESI) whose price increased by 8.89% closing at Rs. 674. And, Global IME Samunnat Scheme-1 (GIMES1) was the top loser of the day losing 5.68% on its price.
The sub-indices for all sectors except Finance landed in red today. Out of all, Manufacturing and Processing was the top losing sector as it tumbled by 33.48 points. Only only sector landing in green today, Finance, gained 3.47 points.
