NEPSE goes further down; loses 24.05 closing at 1,196.24 points

NEPSE index has declined by 24.05 points or 1.97% today. The market had opened at 1,220.68, and kept falling throughout the day with slight fluctuations. Total turnover worth Rs 31.2 crore was witnessed during the trading hours as more than 12.8 lakh unit shares were traded in the whole day. 7,074 transactions were made for the transaction of the scrips.
Standard Chartered Bank Limited (SCB) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than 1.70 crore worth shares were traded. Similarly, Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited (NBB) was the top in case of number of shares traded as 41.06 thousand unit shares were exchanged.
Likewise, the top gainer for the day is Tinau Development Bank Limited (TNBL) whose price increased by 3.91% closing at Rs. 186. And, NMB Hybrid Fund L-1 (NMBHF1) was the top loser of the day losing 6.8% on its price.
The sub-indices for all sectors landed in red today. Out of all, Insurance was the top losing sector as it tumbled by 148.77 points.
