NEPSE Gains Massive 59.54 Points to Close at 1,986.82; Intraday Turnover Stood at Rs. 2.044 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 1,986.82 today after gaining 59.54 points from last trading day's closing. This is a gain of 3.09%. The index had gained 11.68 points yesterday.

The index opened at 1928.50 which is also the intraday low. It then ultimately closed at intraday high of 1,986.82.

225 scrips traded hands via 32,782 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 5,787,126 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 2.044 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 1.707 Arba.

SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) had the highest turnover of Rs. 9.02 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 768. The shares of Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) traded the most.

Nepal Finance Ltd. (NFS) and Reliance Finance Ltd. (RLFL) gained 10% each and hit the positive circuit for the day.

On the other side of things, Everest Bank Limited Con. Pref. (EBLCP) lost the highest 9.99% today.

All sector indices closed green, “Finance" gained the highest 6.96% while "Life Insurance" gained the least 1.8%.
