NEPSE gains 8.58 points than last week; maximum trading of Insurance company’s shares

NEPSE index gained 8.58 points or 0.92 percent than last week to close at 938.96 level.
Similarly Sensitive and Float Index surged 0.78 point and 0.36 points respectively compared to last week.
The local bourse stared this week’s journey by gain of 7.62 points on the very 1st day. There after it surged 8.33 and 2.8 points on Monday and Tuesday respectively.
The total turnover for first 3 trading days stood at Rs 389.18 million, Rs 371.11 million and Rs 341.68 million respectively amounting total of Rs 1,101.98 million where the average turnover was more than Rs 367 million.
However the benchmark index witnessed plunge of 3.35 points and 6.82 points on Wednesday and Thursday recording the total turnover of Rs 280.45 million and Rs 212.68 million respectively where the average turnover for the last 2 days remained below Rs 250 million.
Altogether 3,115,972 unit shares were traded through 9,473 transactions worth total of Rs 1,595.12 million this week.
Among the sub-indices, Banking (815.52), Finance (517.33) and Other (728.4) dipped down by 0.88 point, 1.75 point and 5.87 points respectively than last week.
Hotels (1852.8), Development Bank (770.03) and Manufacturing (1574.78) gained 23.44 points, 3.38 point and 10.08 points respectively compared to last week.
HydroPower (2092.49) loosed 9.07 points whereas Insurance index gained huge by 257.65 points than last week.
Trading of the shares of Insurance companies were maximum this week. Shares like LICN, NLIC, NLICL and PLIC were mostly traded.
