NEPSE gains 5.23 points at the last trading day of the week; More than 9.12 lakh unit shares traded during the day

The index in the Nepal Stock Exchange ended gaining 5.23 points today. The market had started at 1,242.07 points. At its highest point the market had reached 1,252.78 points while at its lowest point, the market had reached 1,241.99 points. At the end of the trading period, the market ended gaining 5.23 points or 0.42% to end at 1,247.30 points.

During the trading period, 9,12,750 unit shares were traded for more than Rs 31.82 crore.

Prabhu Bank Limited Promoter Share (PRVUPO) stood ahead in terms of turnover and units traded as 1,22,000 unit shares were traded for Rs 1.95 crore.

The shareholders to Unnati Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha (UMB) earned the most today as the price of the stock increased by 188 points. Similarly, the shareholders holding the shares of Jebils Finance Limited (JEFL) lost the most as the price of the share decreased by 4 points.

Both the sensitive and float index increased by 0.82 points and 0.37 points respectively.

Out of the sub-indices, only the Insurance sector landed in the red zone today losing 5.47 points. Manufacturing and Production sector gained 48.87 points which was followed by Hydropower sector gaining 28.71 points.
