NEPSE Gains 5.17 Points and Closes at 2,376.17; Total Turnover Just Above Rs 1 Billion

The NEPSE index closed at 2,376.17 today after gaining 5.17 from the last trading day's closing. This is a gain of 0.22%. The index had lost 15.02 points yesterday.
The index opened at 2,373.10 today and made the intraday low at 2,348.76 . It then made the intraday high at 2,376.20 and closed at 2,376.17, almost at intraday high of the session.
228 scrips traded hands via 23,534 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 2,885,039 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.089 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 1.046 Arba.
Arun Valley Hydropower Development Co. Ltd. (AHPC) traded the most and had the highest turnover of Rs. 5.21 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 422 per share.
Jalpa Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (JALPA) gained 10% and hit the positive circuit breaker for the day.
On the other side of things, Sanima Equity Fund (SAEF) lost the highest 3.88% today.
Four of thirteen sector indices closed red today. "Development " gained the highest 1.82% while "Mutual Fund" lost the highest 0.65%.
