NEPSE Gains 0.78% on Last Trading Day Before Tihar to Close at 1,858.49; Intraday Turnover Stood at Rs. 51.68 Crores

The NEPSE index closed at 1,858.49 today after gaining 14.35 points from last trading day's closing. This is a gain of 0.78%. The index had lost 1.38 points last Thursday.

The index opened at 1,844.5 and made intraday low at 1,843.80. It ultimately closed at intraday high of 1,858.49.

221 scrips traded hands via 13,081 transactions. A total of 1,538,042 shares exchanged hands amounting to only Rs. 51.68 Crores in the turnover amount. This is higher than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 50.76 Crores.

Everest Bank Limited (EBL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 5.16 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 504.90 per share. The shares of Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) traded the most.

Ru Ru Jalbidhyut Pariyojana Limited (RURU) and Sayapatri Hydropower Limited (SPHL) gained the highest 10% each and hit positive circuit for the day.

On the other side of things, CITIZENS MUTUAL FUND 2 (CMF2) lost 9.55% today.

Only two sector indices closed red, "Non Life Insurance" gained the highest 1.22% while "Hotels And Tourism" lost the highest 0.77%.
