NEPSE Free Fall: Plunged 33.76 Points Today To Make 35% Fall In Last 9 Months, Settled At 2078.70 Levels

The NEPSE index closed at 2,078.70 today after losing 33.76 points from last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 1.60%. The index had lost 18.26 points yesterday. The market continues to plummet in the previous five trading days, NEPSE has dropped by 6.5 percent alone this week. All the stakeholders are acting as a mere spectators to this falling spree.

The index opened at 2,113.13 points and made intraday high at 2,117.40. It then made intraday low at 2,071.93 and closed at 2,078.70. 

226 scrips traded hands via 26,693 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 3,848,508 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.307 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 1.161 Arba.

NIC Asia Bank Ltd. (NICA) had the highest turnover of Rs. 6.23 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 739. The shares of Api Power Company Ltd. (API) traded the most.

Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ULBSL) gained highest 10% and hit the positive circuit for the day.

On the other side of things, Kisan Lagubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (KLBSL) lost highest 8.95% today.

All sector indices closed red, "Trading" lost the highest 2.56% while "Others" lost the least 0.81%.
