NEPSE ends in red after volatility; shreds 9.29 points to rest at 1484.47 points with turnover dipping to 42.43 Crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has dipped today by 9.29 points or 0.62% to close at 1484.47 points. index The only local borse of the country had opened at 1,493.77 points and started sliding down losing more than 10 points after which the market again regained few of the lost points. After witnessing some ups and downs, the index ultimately ended in red. Both the trading amount and trading volume have shown a decline today. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 42.43 crore where more than 9.83 lakh unit shares were traded through 4,391 transactions. Nepal Telecom (NTC) stood ahead in terms of total turnover for the day with its total transactions exceeding over 4 crore. Over 89 thousand unit promoter shares of Garima Bikas Bank (GBBLPO) were traded today making it the most traded scripts. Scripts of Sindu Bikas Bank (SINDU) made the highest profit today as their value increased by 6.71% to Rs. 175. On the other hand, shares of Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) didn’t perform well with their value tumbling by 7.55% to Rs. 1102. Both the Sensitive and float index came down today by 2.07 points and 0.64 points respectively. The indices of all the trading groups showed an downward movement and landed in red today.
