NEPSE ends in green; gains 10.53 points with turnover above 49.43 Crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has scaled up today by 10.53 points or 0.70% to close at 1520.74 points. The local bourse opened at 1,510.21 points and started sliding down for the first half-an-hour after which the market started recovering. After having lost the early 6 points, the bench mark index bounced back and ended up positively for the day. index However, both the trading amount and trading volume has shown a slight decline today. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 49.43 crore where more than 10.61 lakh unit shares were traded through 3,941 transactions. Global IME Bank Limited (GBIME) stood ahead both in terms of total turnover and number of traded shares with its total transactions exceeding over Rs 5.40 crore and over 1.63 lak units of its shares being traded today. Scripts of Kuber Merchant Finance Limited (KMBSL) made the highest profit today as their value increased by 9.63% to Rs. 205. On the other hand, shares of Progressive Finance Limited (PROFL) didn’t perform well with their value tumbling by 3.98% to Rs. 217. Both the Sensitive and float index inched up by 2.20 points and 0.73 points respectively. The indices of all the trading groups showed an upward movement and landed in green today.
