NEPSE ends above 920 level; surges 7.13 points

The benchmark index of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) moved up by 7.13 points or 0.78 percent to close at 924.54 level compared to yesterday’s closing of 917.41 level.

The local bourse touched the intraday low of 914.03 mark within the initial hour and thereafter climbed up hill throughout the day to close above 920 level.

Chances of political stability in the country have boosted the confidence of the investors which has attributed in surge of the market index.

The total turnover has surged meager Rs 4.92 million than yesterday’s total of Rs 255.16 million. Altogether 629,444 unit shares of 137 companies were traded through 2,293 transaction worth Rs 260.08 million.


Each sub-index has landed in green today. Banking has surged 3.48 points or 0.43 percent amid the rise in share price of Nabil Bank by Rs  33 and Everest Bank by Rs 23.
Similarly Development and Finance went up by 8.47 points and 2 points respectively. Hotels, HydroPower and Insurance has surged by double digit of 20.35 points, 36.37 points and 45.35 points respectively..
Manufacturing and Others has moved up by 10.25 points and 8.22 points respectively.


Companies like RMDC, Gandaki Bikas, Kabeli Bikash, Himalayan Distillery and Naya Nepal Laghubitta Bikas Bank stood among the top gainers of the day.
Whereas Paschimanchal Bikas, Prudential Insurance, Central Finance, Mithila Laghubitta and Sindhu Bikash Bank were among the top losers of the day.
