NEPSE drops meager 3.23 points; turnover above Rs 300 million

NEPSE slipped meager 3.23 points or 0.33 percent to close at 987.53 level.

NEPSE Sensitive and Float dropped by minimal 0.68 point (211.23) and 0.29 point (69.06) respectively.

Opening at 991.09 level this afternoon, the benchmark index came down to 985.28 level till 2nd hour of trading, there after, rise in the index of banking led the NEPSE narrow its loss to as low as 3.23 points till closing.

Increase in movement of investors in the market led the total turnover stand above Rs 300 million.

Altogether 769,689 unit shares of 138 scrips were traded through 2,300 unit transactions amounting total of Rs 329.34 million which included Rs 18.36 million of manual turnover.

Banking dropped by 5.94 points or 0.67 points to close at 876.72 level.

Similarly Development and Insurance plunged by 3.04 points (795.42) and 16.45 points (4125.04) respectively.

HydroPower dipped by double digit of 12.9 points to stand at 2328.10 level.

On the contrary, Hotels (2065.37), Manufacturing (1383.14) and Others (760.11) landed in green today gaining 10.71 points, 20.21 points and 7.04 points respectively.

Trading of shares of Century commercial bank and Nepal Bank were maximum today.

Share price of Nepal Aawas, Central Finance and Himalayan Distillery surged maximum today.
