NEPSE drops meager 2.64 points; Turnover down by Rs 52 million

The benchmark index of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) slipped meager 2.64 points or 0.28 percent to close at 928.33 level than last week closing of 930.97 mark index.
The local bourse opened at 930.90 this afternoon and moved within the corridor of 6 points touching the intraday high and low of 932.67 level and 926.91 level respectively.
Mainly the movement of selling investors who wanted to book profit was seen in the market today.
However the chances of major political parties to come on the common floor to resolve the disputed issues in formation of constitution to meet the deadline has raised the confidence among the investors which may resulted as positive impact on the market index in coming days.
Among the sub-indices, Banking dropped by 5.67 points or 0.69 percent to stand at 814.16 level. Finance and Others dipped 1.71 point and 8.22 points respectively.
Development and Insurance surged by 0.35 point and 40.05 points respectively. Hotels, HydroPower and Manufacturing also landed in green, moving up by 14.7 points, 3.46 points and 12.34 points respectively.
The total turnover has decreased by more than Rs 52 million than previous trading day. Altogether 779,217 unit shares of 140 companies were trade today through 2,203 transactions worth Rs 281.82 million including manual turnover of Rs 16.15 million.
Promoter Shares and Ordinary shares of Prabhu Bank were traded maximum today including the shares of Grand Bank which was among the top shares traded today.
