NEPSE down by 3.67 points; closes below 950

NEPSE index slipped down by 3.67 points or 0.39 percent to close at 948.36 level.

Opening at 953.91 level this afternoon the benchmark index came down to 947 level within the initial hour and thereafter remained around this level throughout the day.

Nepse Sensitive and Float also dipped down by 0.89 and 0.44 points respectively to close at 202.26 and 66.87 levels respectively.

Among the sub-indices, Banking dropped by 6.06 or 0.72 percent to close at 832.14 level.

Similarly Development Banks (798.01) and Finance (532.26) plunged by 2.78 and 0.04 points respectively.

HydroPower (2208.15) gained 3.64 points whereas Insurance (3961.13) and Manufacturing (1504.12) slipped down by 4.9 and 3.26 points respectively.

Others managed to remain at 709.61 level.

NLIC, NBL, CHCL and PRVU were among the most traded shares.

KRB:, NGBL, NIL and PIC were among the top gainers whereas KDBL, ACEDBL, ALDBL, REDBL and KMBL were the top losers of the day.

Altogether 745,011 unit shares of 118 companies were traded through 1,428 number of transactions worth Rs 207.49 million.
